Day 1 - Arrive Beijing
On arrival in Beijing, you will be met and transferred to your accommodation for the following 3 nights.

Day 2 - Beijing (B,L)
Today’s city tour in Beijing will include the visit to the Tianamen Square, the largest city center square in the world You will then proceed to walk to the Meridien Gate of the Forbidden City (closed on Mondays) to visit the splendid palace, the ancient residence of emperors and bastion of imperial power. The 250-acre palace contains more than 9000 rooms. Closed to all but the highest nobility for centuries, the city has been opened to the public since only 1949 and soon become the one of the most important attractions for tourists. This afternoon you will visit the Summer Palace. Being the largest and most well-preserved royal park in China, it greatly influences Chinese horticulture and landscape with its famous natural views and cultural interests, which also has long been recognized as 'The Museum of Royal Gardens'.

Day 3 - Beijing (B,L)
After breakfast, take a trip to the most famous attraction- the Great Wall at Mutianyu section. The Mutianyu Section of Great Wall located in the northern part of Huairou County is about some 40 miles north-east of Beijing City. This solid wall and twenty-two blockhouses and watchtowers make the wall distinct from other sections. Here the mountains are densely covered by verdant plants and tall ancient trees. You will take a cable car up and down the hill. Later, return to the city and visit the Hutong area where you will take a rickshaw to visit a local family to experience another side of Beijing besides the bustling city.

Day 4 - Xi'an (B)
You will be transferred to the train station for high-speed train to Xian. Upon arrival, you will meet your guide and visit the ancient City Wall, also known as the Fortification of Xi'an, it is the most complete city wall that has survived in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. You will also visit the Muslim Quarter and market, the hub of the Muslim community covering several blocks and home to over 20,000 people.

Day 5 - Xi'an (B,L)
This morning you will drive to the east suburb to visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. This great archeological excavation unfolded a strong army of altogether 8,000 life-size pottery soldiers, horses, chariots and weapons arranged in battle formations symbolically, guarding the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang. You will also visit the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, this solemn ancient pagoda was originally built in 652. It holds old Buddhist relics and classics taken from India by the hierarch Xuanzang. The pagoda and its surrounding areas are popular for locals and tourists alike.

Day 6 - Guilin (B,L)
You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Guilin. Upon arrival, you will visit the Reed Flute Cave.Reed Flute Cave got its name from the verdant reeds growing outside it, with which people make flutes. Inside, this water-eroded cave is a spectacular world of stalactites, stone pillars and rock formations.

Day 7 - Guilin (B,L)
You will take an excursion to Longji Rice Terraces about 50 miles away from Guilin. Longji Rice Terraces, literally Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces, got its name because the rice terraces resemble a dragon’s scales and the mountain range looks like the backbone of a dragon. The construction of incredible Longji Rice Terraces started in the Yuan Dynasty and is reputed as one of the most beautiful rice terraces in the world. In the late afternoon return to Guilin.

Day 8 - Yangshou (B,L,D)
This morning you will be transferred to the pier for Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo. The gorgeous Karst peaks are visible at every turn in the river. Water buffalo and farmers work the rice paddies, school kids and fisherman pass by on bamboo rafts.
Upon disembarkation in Yangshuo, you will visit West Street, a most popular site, then take a bicycle tour around the countryside of Yangshuo to enjoy peaceful scenery.-

Day 9 - Shanghai
You will be transferred from Yangshuo to Guilin airport for your flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to a cooking class.

Day 10 - Shanghai (B)
Take a tour of Shanghai’s highlights including the Yuyuan Garden (closed on Mondays), one of the most famous classic gardens in Shanghai. You will also visit the Old Bazaar. The Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the tallest in Asia and third of the TV towers in the world, is situated in the tip of Lu Jia Zui of the east of Huangpu River and provides wonderful views of the Bund and the scenery along the Huangpu River. At the base of the tower is Shanghai History Museum. Stroll along the waterfront avenue of the Bund, regarded as the symbol of Shanghai.
