    Make your way to Seattle Airport for your flight to Honolulu and connecting flight to Rarotonga. On arrival at Rarotonga, you will be met and transferred to your accommodation for a 4-night stay.

    A fantastic day out with Koka Lagoon Cruises exploring Muri Lagoon. Snorkeling amongst the lagoon life or enjoy through the glass bottom; non-stop entertainment by the friendly talented crew with ukulele playing, pareu tying, weaving; enjoy a delicious fish BBQ feast on Koromiri islet, amazing coconut tree climbing show, coconut husking and more; informative, educational, and most of all fun for all ages. A portion of every ticket also goes to a marine conservation fund.

    Day 4 (Tue) - Rarotonga (CB)

    Get ready for an action packed 2.5 hours and the thrill and challenge of driving your very own quad. Drive your very own fully automatic 350cc Yamaha Grizzly Quad (4-wheel motorized bike), through rocky and muddy terrain crossing streams to remote areas of our island “jungle” and get a close view of the great Te Atukura Mountain, weather pending. If you consider yourself a true adventurer, you will love this tour as it offers thrills and challenges following our experienced tour guide.
    Conclude the Jungle Quad Adventure by cooling off up the mountain in a freshwater creek while enjoying the scenery.

    One of the best things to do in Aitutaki is to relax! However, if you feel like being a little more adventurous during your stay, there is plenty of activities to fill your days. On one day, enjoy a lagoon cruise on the world’s most beautiful lagoon, where blue is redefined. The Vaka Cruise, 6 hours of lagoon magic onboard of our Vaka Tiki-a-Tonga, will provide you with some breathtaking views, relaxing atmosphere and fun. You will visit sun-soaked islets (motus), swim and snorkel in spots teeming with an array of colorful tropical fish and majestic giant trevallies and be treated to a delicious tropical buffet lunch. The Vaka Cruise is simply something that no visitor to the Cook Islands should miss!

    Day 9 (Sun) - Arrive Auckland (B)

    Arrival in Auckland just after midnight and after clearing Customs and Immigration, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for a 3-night stay.

    This morning, explore Auckland, the vibrant "City of Sails," on a half-day tour showcasing its top highlights. Starting with a pick-up from your hotel, you'll journey to Mission Bay along scenic Tamaki Drive, enjoying stunning views of Rangitoto Island.

    Visit MJ Savage Memorial Park at Bastion Point, offering panoramic views of the Harbour Bridge, Waitemata Harbour, and the city skyline. Stop at Achilles Point for incredible photo opportunities with Rangitoto Island as a backdrop before heading to One Tree Hill, a volcanic summit rich in history, where 360-degree views await.

    Conclude the tour at Mount Eden Summit, another iconic volcanic cone with breathtaking vistas over the Hauraki Gulf, before returning to your hotel.

    As you discover Auckland at your leisure, make your way to Level 4, 88 Federal Street for an experience like no other. Discover the stories behind some of world rugby’s most famous players, moments and matches. The friendly and knowledgeable guides kick the experience off with an introduction to the game of rugby. Then they lead you through to state-of-the-art experience combining sound, images, interactive technology and hands-on activities. We will entertain and educate you with the story of New Zealand’s deep passion for national sport. You can experience the full force of the All Blacks haka, tackle interactive zones where you can try out your kicking, catching, line-out and accuracy skills against legendary All Blacks. You don’t have to be a rugby fan to enjoy this experience!

  • Hobbiton MH 3

    Day 11 (Tue) - Auckland - Matamata - Rotorua (B,L)

    Your journey takes you through undulating green hills reminding you that you are approaching The Shire. Your Bush and Beach guide will give you commentary on the way to Hobbiton with insights into the areas you are travelling through, along with some background to the movies. On arrival at Shire’s Rest you embark on your Hobbiton movie set tour. This location is the largest “green set” in the world and the only part of the set remaining in New Zealand. You see 44 hobbit holes, the Mill and double arch bridge and the party tree. At this stunning location you can take a photo at the gate to Bilbo’s house, “Bag End”, looking out over the whole set to the hills in the distance. The tour ends with a visit to the Green Dragon Inn for a drink. After the movie set tour concludes, clients are transferred to Rotorua. Tour concludes at approximately 1.00pm in Rotorua where you will be dropped at your hotel for a 2-night stay.

    Day 12 (Wed) - Rotorua (B)

    Today is free to explore Rotorua at your leisure. Soak up the mud pools or mineral springs at a Spa or visit one of the many geothermal areas around the city.

    This evening, journey into the heart of Māori culture, an experience you will never forget! Te Pā Tū celebrates seasonal kai (food) and Māori culture.

    For Māori, kai is integral to any special gathering, so you’ll experience the mystical Ahi Taitai (fire ceremony) before stepping in to the tawa forest canopy for seasonal kai horotai (canapés) and a lantern-lit walk to a lavish three-course family-share hākari (feast).
     Tū Te Rā, running from November through April, is the summer offering, aligned with the maramataka, the Māori lunar calendar. It explores concepts, rituals, and stories of ancient Māori warfare and of peace.
