Description

Kenya is the Africa of your imagination…the warm, dry-grass smell of the savannah teeming with life, a lion’s roar rumbling through the star-streaked night, mighty peaks piercing gigantic skies.  Kenya is a country that fills all five senses, so full of wildlife that pilots buzz airstrips, clearing the giraffe and zebra away prior to landing.

SkySafari delivers you to this soul-stirring wilderness, in supreme comfort, with not a minute wasted.

Carefully curated, the 8-day SkySafari Kenya delivers maximum variety and adventure in high style, with maximum efficiency. There’s no needless waiting or stops en route: you’ll be driven straight onto the strip to board your elegant private all business class aircraft – which seats only eight passengers – to soar straight to your next exquisite lodge or camp, deep in the wilderness. That means more time tracking big cats on foot, learning bird calls, searching for the Big Five and chinking G&T glasses as the sun sinks below the horizon.

The combination of executive plane, direct flights, top-class guides and luxurious camps and lodges in the most magnificent of locations is A-list decadence at an affordable price. It’s kind to the planet too: SkySafari not only operates on a carbon negative basis, but every trip contributes to Land & Life, a foundation committed to a sustainable future that sees local communities benefit from tourism, safeguarding nature for the next generation. So fly with us, to explore deeper, to help conserve more and to spend longer immersed in the sights, smells, sounds and sensations of the African bush.

Your journey starts in Nairobi, where, after a night at the renowned Hemingways under the personalized care of your butler, you’ll wake refreshed and ready for your first flight aboard the specially designed all-business class seater aircraft.

Fly to Meru National Park.  Marvelous, remote, rugged and prominently unspoiled, Meru sits intact in a wilderness less visited,  surrounded by undiluted natural beauty. It is wild and beautiful, straddling the equator and bisected by 13 rivers and numerous mountain-fed streams.

On landing, transfer to your accommodation for 2 nights, Elewana Elsa’s Kopje. The afternoon and following day are filled with amazing wildlife experiences that you may choose from a menu of possibilities.

Next, fly to Loisaba, where cutting-edge conservation helps preserve landscapes as dramatic as they are biodiverse. With abundant wildlife, exquisite accommodation and adventurous activities, Loisaba will revive your mind, rejuvenate your body and revitalize your soul. Your accommodation is Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp, from where you will explore the surrounding area, game watching.

Next, fly to the matchless Masai Mara for arguably the finest game-viewing in the world. Known for its vast savannahs, abundant wildlife, and the annual wildebeest migration, the Mara offers unparalleled wildlife opportunities. See the Big Five, take a hot air balloon safari, visit a Maasia village all while marveling over breathtakingly beautiful landscapes. On your private conservancy, you will experience thrilling wildlife encounters by day and luxury accommodation at Elewana Sand River Lodge at night.

Finally, return to Nairobi where you will bid a sad goodbye at Nairobi International Airport.

Your accommodation will be at Elsa’s Kopje, in the heart of the park, perched around the rocky Mughwango hill and offering 360 degree views that stretch from the 17,000 foot peak of Mt Kenya to the east, to virtually infinity to the west. The hill was the playground of Elsa the lion. There is a fertile spring to the east of the hill and guests can watch vast herds of elephant, buffalo and giraffe make their way across the plains below. Visit the conservancy headquarters to see the extraordinary work being done here and meet the sniffer dogs and the anti-poaching team to find out how they safeguard the wilderness. For the ultimate unwind, sink into the camp’s infinity pool before a very special night’s sleep; roll a fourposter Elewana Starbed out onto your decking and drift off to the tweets, snaps, howls and bellows of the bush, with nothing between you and the galaxies above.
