  Day 1: Arusha

  On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met and transferred by vehicle to your accommodation for tonight, Arusha Serena Hotel. The hotel stands amid coffee plantations on the shores of tranquil Lake Duluti.  Rest of day at leisure.

  Day 2: Tarangire National Park

  Morning at leisure before your safari briefing and lunch at the hotel. Depart to Tarangire National Park leaving the busy city behind, driving across vast plains dotted with grass thatched huts. Once you enter Tarangire Park gate, you begin game viewing as you make your way slowly to Tarangire Sopa Lodge, arriving for dinner.  (B,L,D)

    Tarangire National Park is renowned for its abundant wildlife, including large herds of elephants, lions, leopards, and an array of bird species.

    Built to blend in with the vastness of its surroundings, Tarangire Sopa Lodge lies hidden among the kopjes, ancient baobab trees and grasses of Tarangire - home to the one of the greatest concentration of elephants in Africa.     The dining room serves meal beneath an intricately painted mural painted onto a high gable at one end of the room, or outside on the terrace. Even the floor is a work of art with its multi-colored timbers and copper nails.

    As the 75 circular guest suites fan out on either side of the main lodge, it is worth noting that the lodge is not fenced in any way. Wild animals are at liberty to come and go as they please and transits to guestrooms and back might be delayed by an elephant or two. This is the reason guards will insist on taking you to and from the main lodge to your room at night.

  After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive, spending most of your time by the Tarangire River where wildlife come to drink and wallow. Return for lunch at the lodge, then depart to Lake Manyara National Park arriving at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge, perched above the Rift Valley escarpment overlooking the park in time for dinner.   Day 4: Serengeti National Park

  After breakfast, take a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, home to elephants, hippos, giraffes, and buffalo. The park's varied habitats support a rich array of birdlife, with over 400 species recorded. Additionally, the park is known for its tree-climbing lions, a unique behavior rarely observed elsewhere. Seasonally, flamingoes come to the lake.  Return to the lodge for lunch, then depart for Serengeti National Park.   Day 5: Serengeti National Park

  This morning, take a game drive in this magnificent Park. Or, opt to add a shared Hot Air Balloon Safari. For this experience, you will transfer to the balloon staging site. At sunrise, your hot air balloon lifts off over the African plains. At times, your pilot will ascend to a higher altitude to give you an overview of the ecosystem. Then you descend to treetop level to silently observe the wildlife from above. After about 50 minutes, you land and are met by the balloon staff  to transport you to your shared bush breakfast. You then return to your camp or lodge.

  Depart the lodge, again game viewing as you slowly make your way to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.   Day 8: Arusha and Zanzibar

  Those awake early enough will be able to enjoy the sunrise across the eastern rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. Following breakfast, you depart the lodge and begin your journey back to Arusha arriving in the city for lunch. Then transfer to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar. On arrival in Zanzibar, you will be met and transferred to Nungwi Beach Resort,  your accommodation for the following 3 nights. Rest of day at leisure.
